PVN-MI

The Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information Network – Canada (PVN-MI) is a Canadian not-for-profit corporation founded by Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information professionals. The group comprises a Pharmacovigilance (PV) arm and a Medical Information (MI) arm with active working groups. The PVN-MI is administered by a Board of Directors in place for a period of 2 years.

Mission:

The mission of the PVN-MI is to help shape the future of Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information by providing members across Canada with an environment to meet and discuss practical solutions with industry peers and regulators to enable ongoing improvements.

​Members are Pharmacovigilance and/or Medical Information professionals from Canadian pharmaceutical companies, responsible for developing and deploying the drug safety and medical information strategies within their organizations.

The philosophy behind the group is to:

• Describe and develop the future role for Drug Safety and Medical Information in Canada.
• Provide a platform for members to learn and share from one another in an open environment.
• Provide information to measure operational and organizational performance in a comparable manner.
• Encourage members to be more proactive and gain leadership opportunities.
• Share current ways of working and develop best practices.
• Offer professional development and networking opportunities
