Digital maturity in Medical Affairs is unevenly distributed. That’s one of the clearest findings from our 2026 Digital Maturity Analysis, which asked Medical Affairs and Communications leaders across pharma and biotech to describe how their teams are actually executing on digital strategy.
Most teams fell in the Developing or Emerging stages of our four-stage maturity index. These teams have roadmaps outlining content strategies and channel execution. They’ve made real investments. But consistent, measurable results from digital programs remain elusive for many. The activities exist, but the infrastructure to connect them and grow impact doesn’t.
Only 16% of respondents say their teams are digitally mature.
The full benchmark data is in the report. If your team is focused on growth in any of these areas, the findings will help guide you.
