Partnerships and licensing agreements between biotech and pharmaceutical companies are central to advancing innovation. Yet many professionals involved in partnering discussions would benefit from a clearer understanding of how deal terms are structured and how the value of an asset is assessed during negotiations.

In this educational webinar, Dr Patrik Frei introduces the key principles behind pharmaceutical deal-making. He will explain how the value of an asset is assessed at its current stage of development and how that value evolves as key clinical and regulatory milestones are achieved. Participants will also gain a first introduction to risk-adjusted net present value (rNPV), a widely used valuation method in biotech and pharma that underpins many licensing and partnering negotiations.

This session will provide participants with a clearer perspective on how licensing deals are typically structured and how different deal components can be adjusted to support win-win outcomes for both partners.
