“Ladies and gentlemen, the animal health market has exploded”.
Over the past few decades, the animal health industry has undergone a profound transformation, particularly within the companion animal segment. In developed countries, the strengthening of the animal-human bond has resulted in increased attention to animal welfare and a growing willingness of pet owners to invest in veterinary care. This societal shift has translated into sustained expansion of the animal health market. Recent analyses estimate the global animal health market at approximately USD 68.6 billion in 2024 and project it to reach more than USD 162 billion by 2035, with a compound annual growth rate of around 8%1.
